      Common questions

      How is the black made?

Most are black IP plated: a black coating bonded to the steel, tungsten or titanium underneath. The black will not fade.

      Which metal should I choose?

Steel gives you the widest choice. Tungsten is the heaviest and the hardest to scratch, and titanium is the lightest. The Damascus band shows a black and grey grain that is different on every ring.

      What size am I?

Most run US 6 to US 13. A few patterned rings come in a narrower range, listed on their product pages. How to measure at home, or go straight to the ring size chart.

      Can these be resized?

No. Steel, tungsten and titanium cannot be cut and rejoined the way gold can. Order the size you know, and exchange it if it is wrong.

Are they good as a wedding ring?

Yes. The black tungsten bands are the hardest here to scratch, so they hold up to being worn every day. The full range is in wedding bands.

Can I wear them in the shower?

Yes. They are all waterproof, so you can keep them on in the shower and at the gym. More on water and metal here.

Will they turn my skin green?

No. Every ring here is hypoallergenic and will not turn your finger green. More on why cheap jewellery stains here.

      Can I have one engraved?

Most can. We engrave the inside of the band with up to 50 characters for £10. The black rectangular signet takes up to 15 characters on its face.
