A men's silver Dongling jade pendant necklace that won't turn your skin green. It's polished 316L stainless steel, hypoallergenic and waterproof, so you can keep it on in the shower and at the gym. It won't rust or fade. The pendant measures 20mm by 10mm: an emerald-shaped green Dongling jade stone in a four-prong setting, on a 60cm rope chain that's 2mm wide with a lobster clasp.
Wear it alone as a single point of colour, or with your other chains. There's an 18K gold-plated version too.
We engrave the back of the pendant with up to 40 characters over two lines, enough for initials and a date. £10. Engraved pieces can't be returned.

The metal
316L is a stainless steel alloy. It's strong, non-magnetic and handles high temperatures, and it resists corrosion and staining. It needs little looking after, so it suits jewellery you wear every day.
Made from
69% iron, 18% chromium, 10% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum and 0.03% carbon. The maker heats the metals to a very high temperature and quenches them, which gives the steel its crystalline structure.
Cleaning
Wash it in hot, soapy water and rinse it well so it doesn't mark. Wipe it with a microfibre cloth to keep it looking new.
