A men's gold-plated lapis lazuli pendant necklace that won't turn your skin green. A blue lapis lazuli stone sits at the centre of a 15mm square pendant with cut corners. The pendant frame and the box chain are 316L stainless steel with 18K gold plating, hypoallergenic and waterproof, and they won't rust or fade. The chain is 60cm long and 2mm wide, with a lobster clasp.
Blue stone in a gold frame gives you one bit of colour with a T-shirt or an open collar. The gold version also comes in silver. Lapis is traditionally linked with wisdom and truth.
We engrave the back of the pendant with up to 40 characters over two lines. Pick a font and add a symbol if you like. £10. Engraved pieces can't be returned.

The metal
316L is a stainless steel alloy. It's strong, non-magnetic and handles high temperatures, and it resists corrosion and staining. It needs little looking after, so it suits jewellery you wear every day.
Made from
69% iron, 18% chromium, 10% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum and 0.03% carbon. The maker heats the metals to a very high temperature and quenches them, which gives the steel its crystalline structure.
Cleaning
Wash it in hot, soapy water and rinse it well so it doesn't mark. Wipe it with a microfibre cloth to keep it looking new.
