A men's silver tiger's eye square necklace that won't turn your skin green. The tiger's eye stone is set in a 15mm by 15mm pendant of polished 316L stainless steel. The steel is hypoallergenic and waterproof, so you can keep it on in the shower and at the gym, and it won't rust or fade. It hangs on a 60cm box chain, 2mm wide, with a lobster clasp.
Plain steel lets the brown and gold bands of the stone do the work. The silver version also comes in gold. Tiger's eye is traditionally linked with courage and confidence.
We engrave the back of the pendant with up to 40 characters over two lines, enough for initials and a small symbol such as a heart. £10. Engraved pieces can't be returned.

The metal
316L is a stainless steel alloy. It's strong, non-magnetic and handles high temperatures, and it resists corrosion and staining. It needs little looking after, so it suits jewellery you wear every day.
Made from
69% iron, 18% chromium, 10% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum and 0.03% carbon. The maker heats the metals to a very high temperature and quenches them, which gives the steel its crystalline structure.
Cleaning
Wash it in hot, soapy water and rinse it well so it doesn't mark. Wipe it with a microfibre cloth to keep it looking new.
