A men's black dog tag necklace that won't turn your skin green. It's 316L stainless steel with black IP plating, hypoallergenic and waterproof, so it stays on in the shower and at the gym. It won't rust and the black won't fade. The tag is 33mm by 22mm with a mix of brushed and polished finishes, on a 50cm rope chain, 2mm wide, with a lobster clasp.
The black version also comes in silver and in 18K gold plating. Dog tags started out as military ID tags.
We engrave the front, the back or both. Each side takes up to 40 characters over two lines, and the text runs down the tag, so you can make it a personalised dog tag. £10 for one side, £20 for both. Engraved pieces can't be returned.

The metal
316L is a stainless steel alloy. It's strong, non-magnetic and handles high temperatures, and it resists corrosion and staining. It needs little looking after, so it suits jewellery you wear every day.
Made from
69% iron, 18% chromium, 10% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum and 0.03% carbon. The maker heats the metals to a very high temperature and quenches them, which gives the steel its crystalline structure.
Cleaning
Wash it in hot, soapy water and rinse it well so it doesn't mark. Wipe it with a microfibre cloth to keep it looking new.
