A men's gold dog tag necklace that won't turn your skin green. It's 316L stainless steel with 18K gold plating, hypoallergenic and waterproof, so you can keep it on in the shower and at the gym. It won't rust or fade. The 33mm by 22mm tag mixes brushed and polished gold, with a bright bar and rivets, and hangs on a 50cm gold rope chain, 2mm wide, with a lobster clasp.
There's a silver and a black version too. Dog tags began as military ID tags, worn with a name on them.
We engrave the front, the back or both. You get up to 40 characters over two lines on each side, with the text running down the tag, so you can make it a personalised dog tag. £10 for one side, £20 for both. Engraved pieces can't be returned.

The metal
316L is a stainless steel alloy. It's strong, non-magnetic and handles high temperatures, and it resists corrosion and staining. It needs little looking after, so it suits jewellery you wear every day.
Made from
69% iron, 18% chromium, 10% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum and 0.03% carbon. The maker heats the metals to a very high temperature and quenches them, which gives the steel its crystalline structure.
Cleaning
Wash it in hot, soapy water and rinse it well so it doesn't mark. Wipe it with a microfibre cloth to keep it looking new.
